Insurance regulator IRDA has constituted an Insurance Information Bureau (IIB) to provide reliable data on the sector to researchers and policy makers. Insurance Regulatory Development Authority said in Mumbai on Friday that IIB would consist of representatives of the industry, experts in the insurance domain as well as in information technology. The Bureau, to be headed by IRDA Chairman, would function as the advisory body for the regulator by providing necessary inputs for policy research and development activity. The Bureau would give an annual report by June 30 every year.
