Indian Rail, Catering and Tourism Corporation, IRCTC, will launch a new web portal from next week for providing air tickets online. The passengers can log on to the website www. air.irctc.co.in. to book their tickets.

Informing this in New Delhi, IRCTC spokesperson Pradip Kundu said the corporation has tied up with domestic airlines companies in this regard and the service will only be available for domestic airlines.

He said the IRCTC will not levy service charge on tickets and cancellations charge will also be nominal. Mr. Kundu said the corporation is also in touch with some banks to introduce cash back offers for those using their credit cards for tickets.
