Any individual will not be able to book more than six tickets online in a month from IRCTC website from his/her user ID. The restriction will come into force from 15th of next month. It is aimed at preventing possible misuse of online booking of tickets.<br/><br/>Under the existing system a maximum of ten tickets can be booked online through IRCTC website. Railway Ministry in a release said, this has been done keeping in view the analysis of usage of quota of 10 tickets which indicated that 90 per cent of users are booking upto 6 tickets in a given month and only 10 per cent are making more than 6 tickets.
