The Iraqi government launched an offensive early today to recapture the western Iraqi towns of Rawa and al-Qaim from the Islamic State terror group. <br/><br/>The towns are located close to the Syrian border. According to al-Arabiya Television, the offensive was launched from three sides and both the international coalition and the Sunni tribes were assisting the joint operation forces in the attack.
