Iraq: Rivals strike power-sharing deal

In Iraq, rival factions have struck a deal to share power in a National Unity Government. Nouri al Maliki, a Shi'ite, was nominated to remain the Prime Minister while the main Sunni faction will control other key posts, including the Parliamentary Speaker's role. But even as Parliament resumed to vote on the deal, around 60 MP's from the Sunni-led coalition stormed out in disagreement. They are demanding that three MP's banned from re-election because of their links to Saddam Hussein be reinstated to parliament. Voting proceeded without them.Nouri al Maliki is required to form a Cabinet in 30 days.
