Kurdish authorities in Iraq have said they will respect the Supreme Federal Court decision that prohibits the autonomous region from seceding from the country. In a statement yesterday, the Kurdistan regional government said the court's decision must become a basis for starting an inclusive national dialogue with Iraq's central government.<br/> <br/>Iraq's Federal court has issued a ruling on 6th of this month that Iraq's constitution does not allow any province to secede from the country. More than 90 percent of Kurdish voters in Iraq supported independence in a referendum held by the regional government in September. But the central government declared the vote illegal and retook control of Kurdish-held areas outside the autonomous region.
