<br/>The two British lawyers working for the British Foreign office in the run up to the Iraq war have told a an official enquiry that they advised the Government on a number of occasions that the invasion was illegal.<br/><br/>One of the lawyers Sir Michael Wood said he informed the Foreign Secretary at the time that the use of force against Iraq was contrary to international law. His colleague told the enquiry that she thought the process followed was lamentable. <br/>
