Iraq: At least 74 people killed, 93 injured in twin bomb blasts near Nasiriyah

In Iraq, at least 74 people have been killed and 93 injured in the twin gun-and-car bomb attacks near the city of Nasiriyah. The attacks in the province of Thi Qar yesterday started with unidentified gunmen opening fire inside a restaurant on the main highway that links the capital Baghdad with the southern provinces. Most of the dead are likely Iranian visitors who were inside the restaurant.<br/>'<br/>In the second incident which occured shortly afterwards, an explosives-laden car targeted a security checkpoint in the same area. According to reports, ISIS claimed responsibility for the suicide attacks.
