In Iraq, the Air Force College has been reopened first time since it was suspended in 1991 following the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and the subsequent sanctions imposed on Iraq. The ceremony was attended by the Iraqi Defence minister and several senior officials. According to Voice of Iraq news agency, this step is aimed to complete the programs set up to develop the Iraqi Air Force which was initially founded in 1931.The College is located in Salah al-Din province.<br/>
