In Iraq, at least 6 people were killed and 12 more injured in two suicide blasts in the centre of Kirkuk city today. The attacks occurred in the afternoon when a suicide bomber detonated his explosive belt at the entrance of the headquarters of a Hashd Shaabi group, known as Saraya al-Salam. <br/><br/>A few minutes later, another suicide bomber blew up his explosive belt at the scene, as people and security forces were evacuating the casualty of the first blast. The attack struck Atlas Street, a key shopping area in the heart of the city of a million residents. <br/><br/>Iraqi security forces backed by the Hashed in mid-October seized oil-rich Kirkuk province from Kurdish peshmerga forces in the wake of a Kurdish independence vote held in defiance of Baghdad.<br/><br/>
