In Iraq, a series of bombings in and around Baghdad have killed 13 people, including seven policemen, and wounded 65 others. A security official said a total of 11 roadside bombs, two vehicles packed with explosives and one suicide attacker struck in the spate of morning blasts. An interior ministry official said the deadliest attack saw seven policemen killed and 10 wounded in a suicide bombing in the town of Taji, 25 kilometres north of the capital.
