Iran’s aid to Afghanistan for infrastructure construction

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast on Tuesday said that Tehran's financial aid to Afghanistan is aimed at helping the war-ravaged country reconstruct its infrastructure.According to Iranian PressTV, Mehmanparast told reporters during his weekly press briefing in Tehran on Tuesday that Iran has offered its assistance to the country to improve the state's infrastructure as Afghanistan's neighbour and it will continue that.The Iranian official made the remarks in response to a US media report that alleged that Iran gave”bags of money” to Afghan President Hamid Karzai to secure his loyalty. The Iranian spokesperson also reiterated that economic measures against Iran will not stop the Iranian nation from pursuing its nuclear rights.
