Iranians celebrate US Embassy take-over

Iranians are holding rallies across the country on Wednesday to mark the 30th anniversary of the US Embassy takeover in Tehran. According to Iran’s Press TV, since the 1979 takeover of the US embassy in Tehran, Iranians have been celebrating the occasion every year by holding rallies on the anniversary and marking it as the National Day against what they call the 'Global Arrogance'. Meanwhile, the head of Tehran's anti-riot police warned opposition protesters for their return to the streets during government-backed events. But Reformist leaders, however, have shown no sign of backing-off their calls for separate marches.
