Iranian foreign Manouchehr Mottaki has said that Iran will review the new proposals submitted by United States, France and Russia to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Speaking at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Davutoglu in Tehran today he said that while we are continuing our nuclear enrichment activities, Iran will consider any new idea or proposal, according to country’s national interests. Turkish foreign minister Davutoglu arrived Iran last evening to discuss nuclear swap deal with Iranian officials.AIR correspondent reports that Iranian foreign Minister’s comment has come following the statement of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran that the US, France and Russia have offered Iran a joint proposal to supply nuclear fuel for the Tehran research reactor. Declining to give any further detail of the new proposal, the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization chief said that Iran is ready to buy the radioisotopes from potential suppliers. As per the earlier deal agreed in October last year, between Iran, the IAEA and P5+1 – the US, Russia, China, UK, France plus Germany Iran was required to send about 70% of its low-enriched uranium to Russia and France, where it would be processed into fuel for a research reactor. But Iran later said that it will prefer swap in batches and on Iranian territory.
