Iran to present its official response on nuclear fuel deal proposal

Iran will present its official response to the nuclear fuel deal proposal on Thursday to IAEA. According to Iran's Mehr news agency, Iran’s envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Ali Asghar Soltanieh, announced this in Tehran on Wednesday. The agency added that Iran in its response has accepted the general framework of the proposal drafted by Elbradei in Vienna, but some modifications have been made. Under the draft deal, a large consignment of Iran’s enriched uranium would be shipped out of the country for processing into fuel rods with a purity of 20 per cent, which would be used by a research reactor in Tehran that manufactures medical radioisotopes.
