Iran has said it will run a complaint to UN on the remarks of US threats against the country. According to Iranian news agency IRNA, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ramin Mehmanparast told reporters in Tehran today that the complaint would be lodged to UN objecting alleged US threats of using nuclear weapons against Iran. Meanwhile in a related development, Chinese news agency Xinhua has reported that China today said that sanctions and pressure cannot fundamentally resolve the Iran nuclear issue while reiterating its adherence to a dual-track strategy. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Jiang Yu told reporters that China upholds its consistent stance on the Iran nuclear issue. We support the international nuclear non-proliferation system, maintain the peace and stability in the Middle East, oppose Iran having nuclear weapons and support a dual-track strategy. The statement has come following the statement of a top White House official after the meeting of US president Obama and Chinese leader Hu on the sidelines of nuclear conference in Wahington where he told that both agreed that their delegations would work together at the United Nations on a push to impose sanctions against Iran.
