Iran ready to hold direct & transparent talks with US

Iran today said it is ready to hold direct and transparent talks with the United States. Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said the upcoming UN General Assembly meeting is a good opportunity for face-to-face talks between Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad and his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama over global issues.He said the world world nations would judge whose logic about international issues and the ongoing crises in the world is correct, that of Iran or that of the United States. Referring to President Ahmadinejad's statement yesterday, the spokesman in his weekly press beiefing said if the U.S. president expresses his readiness; it would be a good opportunity for face-to-face transparent talks at the upcoming UN General Assembly.According to the official IRNA news agency, Ahmadinejad yesterday said that he is ready to hold face-to-face talks with Obama on global developments at the upcoming UN General Assembly.
