In Iran, preliminary results show President Hassan Rouhani is on course for a second term in office. Officials announced on state TV that out of 26 million votes counted so far, Mr Rouhani has won 14.6 million. Final results will be announced later today.<br/><br/>Mr Rouhani's main challenger Ebrahim Raisi lodged complaints about alleged voting irregularities. Mr Raisi accused supporters of Rouhani of acts of propaganda at voting booths, which are banned under electoral law. <br/>The interior ministry said, over 40 million votes were cast indicating a turnout of about 70 per cent.
