Iran's parliament has dismissed the country's transportation minister amid criticism about air and road safety. On Tuesday, the parliament voted to remove Hamid Behbahani, who is a close ally of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Critics accused Behbahani of mismanagement and failing to address deadly plane crashes and road accidents. Iran has had a number of recent air accidents, including a crash earlier this month that killed 77 people.
