The crucial talks between the Six major world powers and Iran over its disputed nuclear program got underway in Baghdad on Wednesday.
The western delegation is led by EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Marie Ashton while the Iranian delegation is led by its top nuclear negotiator Saee Jalili.
The EU Foreign policy Chief’s spokesman Michael Mann said a new package would be put up which could be of interest to Tehran.
He expressed hope that Iranian delegation will come back with a positive reaction to address the concerns of the international community.
According to reports, Iran may be asked to suspend the enrichment of uranium to 20 percent in return for several concessions. One of the concessions could be that Iran would ship its stockpiles of enriched uranium abroad in return for fuel for a reactor producing medical isotopes.
Iran has been insisting for easing the sanctions. However the five permanent members of Security Council, The P5+1 — the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany have made it clear that sanctions won’t be lifted until Iran takes concrete steps to address their concerns.
