Iran not building N-bomb: Ahamadinejad

Iranian President Mahmud Ahamadinejad has said that Iran is not pursuing to build nuclear bomb. According to Iran’s news agency ILNA, addressing officials in charge of organizing the Ten-Day celebration of Islamic revolution in Tehran yesterday he said that Iranians would respond to on nuclear issue during this year's national ceremonies to mark the Islamic Revolution on 11th February.<br/><br/>Meanwhile The United States Senate has approved legislation that would let President Obama impose sanctions on Iran’s gasoline suppliers. The sanctions would include the denial of loans and other assistance from American financial institutions to companies that export gasoline to Iran or help expand its oil-refining capacity.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent Dushyant Ojha reports from Dubai that Iranian president has once again declared that Tehran is not working on nuclear weapons programme but the United States Senate has approved legislation which is aimed at pressing Tehran to give up its nuclear program. <br/><br/>The legislation would let President Obama impose sanctions on Iran’s gasoline suppliers. The sanctions would also include the denial of loans and other assistance from American financial institutions to companies that export gasoline to Iran or help expand its oil-refining capacity.<br/><br/> US fears that Iran’s uranium enrichment program is aimed at developing nuclear weapons, while Tehran says its nuclear programme is for peaceful purposes including electricity generation.
