Iran needs 20 uranium enrichment sites: AEO

Iran’s Atomic Energy Organisation (AEO) has said that country needs 20 enrichment sites to fulfill its total electricity demand. The head of AEO, Ali-Akbar Salehi told this in an interview with Iran’s Press TV. Salehi added that Tehran will not pull out of the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty (NPT). The comments of head of Iran’s AEO have come following Iran’s decision to construct 10 new enrichment sites in the country and enrich enriching uranium to a level of 20 percent on its own. The International Atomic Energy Agency had recently passed a new resolution against Iran over its nuclear programme, which was supported by major world powers and India.
