Lula said that by a chance of 9.9 out of 10, he expects an agreement with Iran during his visit to the country which starts today. He added that the deal could be Iran's last chance before the UN Security Council decides whether to apply sanctions against the country.

However, Lula's optimism was not shared by Medvedev, who put the Brazilian president's chance to secure such a deal at about 30 per cent.
