Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has announced the launch of homemade satellite during the 31st anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. According to Iranian news agency ILNA, speaking to a group of Iranians residing in Turkmenistan, President Ahmadinejad said the indigenous satellites will be unveiled during the celebrations and will be placed at high altitudes. Meanwhile Iran's Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi quoted by Press TV as saying that the new generation of Iran's national satellite will be called Toloo (Dawn). In February last year, Tehran launched its first home-made satellite Omid telecommunications into space by the Iranian-produced satellite carrier Safir two.
