Iranian government has announced that it is undertaking measures to identify elements behind Ashoura day incidents in Tehran on 27th of last month but defiant opposition has called for an immediate end to the government crackdown on opposition activists. According to Press TV, the Iranian Interior minister Heidar Moslehi has said that his ministry has gained the important information regarding people who had role in the riots. Iran's Intelligence Minister charged that this unrest is different from that of the past and is a prearranged counter-revolutionary movement.<br/><br/>Meanwhile Iranian opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi calling for an immediate end to the government crackdown said that he is ready to die in defence of people's rights. In a statement on his Kaleme website today, Mousavi also said that Iran is in serious crisis following the disputed presidential election in June. Mousavi demanded that the government take responsibility for the problems it has created in the country and recognise people's right to lawful assembly.
