In Iran, counting of votes for the 12th presidential elections is in progress. President Hassan Rouhani is leading with more than half of votes counted. The head of the election committee announced that out of 25.9 million votes counted, Mr Rouhani secured 14.6 million and his hardline challenger Ebrahim Raisi 10.1 million.<br/><br/>According to Iranian Interior Ministry, over 40 million votes were cast indicating a turnout of about 70 per cent. Four candidates are in the run for the presidential slot. However, main contest is between incumbent President Hassan Rouhani and Ebrahim Raeisi.<br/><br/>
