Iran commences aerial defence maneuver

Iran began a large-scale aerial defense maneuver on Sunday to prepare itself for any potential attack against the country. The commander of the Air Defence Headquarters of Iran's armed forces Brigadier General Ahmad Miqani quoted by Iran’s press TV as saying that the aerial defence drill will last for five days. He added that it is slated to cover a vast area of about 6 lakh square kilometers in the northwest, west, south, and southwest of the country.<br/>The maneuver named the Sky of Velayat 2 is mainly aimed at developing aerial defences against any potential attack on the country's nuclear plants.<br/>
