Iran calls on all nuke states to join NPT

As the United Nations hosts a nuclear disarmament conference in New York, Iran calls on all nuke-armed countries to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).<br/><br/>Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast told the Iranian Labor News Agency (ILNA) that Iran welcomes any move toward the global eradication of atomic arms and promotes the application of nuclear technology for peaceful civilian purposes. <br/><br/>Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who is taking part in the 2010 Review Conference of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty has said that he would present a proposal of revision to the NPT.
