In Gujarat, senior IPS officer Sanjeev Bhatt, who had filed an affidavit against Chief Minister Narendra Modi in Supreme Court, has been suspended by the State Government. Suspension Order was served to the Inspector General rank Police Officer on Monday evening at his residence. He was suspended with immediate effect on the grounds that his conduct was unbecoming of an IPS officer. AIR Ahmedabad Correspondent reports that Sanjeev Bhatt had filed a petition in the Supreme Court a couple of months back accusing Chief Minister Narendra Modi for misusing state machinery against minority during the 2002 post-Godhra riots.
