In Madhya Pradesh, mining mafia killed an IPS officer Narendra Kumar in Banmore area of Morena district today. After getting a tip off about illegal mining in the area, SDOP Banmore Narendra Kumar went there and tried to stop a tractor-trolley illegally carrying stones. Driver of tractor-trolley crushed the young police officer by overturning the tractor-trolley over him.

Narendra Kumar was seriously injured in the incident and he was referred to Gwalior where he succumbed to injuries. Police have arrested driver of the truck Manoj. State Home Minister Umashankar Gupta has said that strict action will be taken against the culprits. Narendra Kumar was IPS officer of 2009 batch.
