Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Daredevils by eight wickets in their opening match of the Indian Premier League Twenty20 cricket tournament in Delhi today. After dismissing Delhi Daredevils for 95 all out in 17.4 overs, Mumbai Indians overhauled the victory target of 96 by making 99 for two in 16.5 overs. Sachin Tendulkar remained unbeaten on 46, while Rohit Sharma was not out on 27. Lasith Malinga who claimed five wickets for 13 runs in the Delhi innings was declared Man of the Match. In another IPL match at 8 P.M. tonight, Pune Warriors will take on Kings Eleven Punjab at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai.
