Languishing at the bottom of the table, Deccan Chargers shocked title contenders Mumbai Indians by 10 runs in an IPL match at Mumbai last night. The Chargers defended a modest score of 135 for six, restricting the home team to 125 for eight in 20 overs. It was the expensive 20th over bowled by Munaf Patel which yielded 23 runs that changed the complexion of the match. This was the second successive defeat for Mumbai who remain on 16 points while Deccan now have eight points from 12 matches.In the rain-marred other IPL encounter in Bangalore yesterday, Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Kolkata Knight Riders by four wickets under Duckworth-Lewis method. The match was reduced to 13 overs per side after evening showers halted proceedings for nearly two hours. Batting first, the Kolkata team made 89 for four in their 13 overs. The winners overhauled the revised target of 102 by making 105 for six in 12.3 overs.
