IPL2017: Kings XI Punjab defeats Mumbai Indians by 7 runs

In IPL Cricket, Kings XI Punjab beat Mumbai Indians by 7 runs at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai tonight to keep their hopes of play-off qualification alive. In reply Mumbai Indians could manage 223 for 6.Earlier, Punjab had a flying start as their openers Wriddhiman Saha and Martin Guptill put on a 68-run stand in 5.3 overs. Martin Guptill's 18-ball-36 and skipper Glenn Maxwell's 47 off 21 balls also propped up the total. For Mumbai, Lendl Simmons scored quick 59-off-32 balls while Kieron Pollard contributed 50 off just 24 balls. Mumbai Indians are still on top of the table with 18 points from 13 games while Kings XI Punjab move upto 14 points from same number of matches. On Friday, Delhi Daredevils will face Rising Pune Supergiant at Feroz Shah Kotla Ground in Delhi at 8 in the evening.
