The first incidence of bollywood connection in the IPL spot fixing case came to light today after actor Vindu Dara Singh was arrested by Mumbai Police and remanded to police custody till 24th of May. 49-year-old Vindu, son of late bollywood actor Dara Singh has been booked under various sections of the IPC related to cheating and forgery. According to Mumbai Police, Vindu’s call records showed that he was in constant contact with arrested bookie Ramesh Vyas, absconding bookie Jupiter, Pawan Jaipur and others. The Crime Branch insisted that Vindoo's custodial interrogation was necessary to establish the chain of people involved in the spot fixing racket as the actor was not only betting himself but was also aiding the bookies.
During IPL 6, Vindu, winner of Big Boss 3, was consistently spotted watching IPL matches, most prominent being the Mumbai-Chennai match on 6th April and attending post-match parties.
