IPL: Rajasthan Royals beat Kings XI Punjab

A gritty knock by Ajinkya Rahane and decent contributions from Shane Watson and Sanju Samson helped Rajasthan Royals to an easy eight wicket victory over Kings Eleven Punjab in the Indian Premier League match played in Mohali today. Rajasthan won the toss but invited Punjab to bat who scored 145 for 6 in the stipulated 20 overs. Despite losing skipper Rahul Dravid early, Rajasthan Royals faced no difficulty in chasing the 146 run target. With this win, Rajasthan Royals have closed in on play-offs. They are fourth in the points table with 14 points.In the other IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Pune Warriors India Kolkata Knight Riders after winning the toss chose to bat.
