Chasing a victory target of 156, Pune Warriors overhauled the target in the final over of the match, courtesy a brilliant 66-run fourth wicket stand between opener Jesse Ryder and Steven Smith. Ryder was adjudged man of the match for his unbeaten 73. Earlier, after electing to bat first, Chennai Super Kings had scored 155 for 5 in the stipulated 20 overs. On Sunday, Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Kings Eleven Punjab in Kolkata at 4 PM, while Royal Challengers Bangalore will clash with Rajasthan Royals in Bangalore at 8 in the evening.
