Mumbai Indians beat Chennai Super Kings by six wickets in a breath taking finish to record their fifth successive win of the IPL cricket. Needing 30 runs off the last 12 balls, Hardik Pandya and Ambati Rayudu smashed left-arm spinner Pawan Negi for 25 runs in the penultimate over to tilt the high-pressure game in Mumbai's favour in Chennai yesterday. Mumbai took two balls to knock off the five runs needed in the final over, ending at 159 for 4 in 19.4 overs.Earlier Chennai team, which won the toss and elected to bat, made 158 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.Super Kings remained at top in the points table despite their first defeat at home this season, while Mumbai added to their remarkable turn around with a fifth win in as many games. They are now fourth in the standings with six wins and five losses. Two matches are scheduled today. In the first match, Kolkata Knight Riders will lock horns with Kings XI Punjab at Eden Gardens, Kolkata at 4 PM. In the second match, Delhi Daredevils will meet Sunrisers Hyderabad in Raipur at 8 PM.
