At Kolkata today, the IPL match between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals was abandoned without a ball being bowled because of heavy rain and thunderstorm. Field umpires Richard Illingworth and Rajesh Deshpande took the final call after their fourth inspection at 6.50 pm. Both teams were awarded one point each for the abandoned game.In the other IPL match, now under way in Delhi,Delhi Daredevils were 67 for 4 in 12 overs against Royal Challengers Bangalore when reports last came in. Earlier, the Bangalore team won the toss and opted to bowl.
