Lucknow Super Giants defeated Delhi Capitals by six runs at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.  Opting to bat first, Lucknow Super Giants posted 195 for 3 wickets. In reply, Delhi Capitals could score only 189 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.  

In another match, Chennai Super Kings were 40 for no loss in 6 overs when reports last came in, against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.  Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and chose to bowl.
