In IPL Cricket, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Chennai Super Kings by six wickets in Kolkata last night. The unbroken 83 run partnership between Shubman Gill and Dinesh Karthik helped kolkata to chase down the target of 178 runs with 14 balls remaining. 

Earlier, KKR spinners impressed with Sunil Narine in the lead before MS Dhoni's unbeaten 43 propped Chennai's total to 177 for 5. Kolkata won the toss and opted to chase.
