IPL: KKR beat RR by eight wickets

Kolkata Knight Riders beat Rajasthan Royals by eight wickets in an Indian Premier League match in Kolkata on Sunday night. With the help of brilliant bowling by Laxmipathy Balaji and Shakib-al-Hasan, the Knight Riders bowled out Rajasthan for a paltry 81 runs, the lowest total of the ongoing IPL.Chasing a victory target of 82 runs, skipper Gautam Gambhir played a sensible innings, while Manoj Tiwary displayed aggression from the onset to help Knight Riders register the thumping win.For Knight Riders this was their third consecutive win after losing the first match to Chennai Super Kings to climb up to the top of the points table.In another IPL encounter, Delhi Daredevils defeated Pune Warriors by three wickets in Mumbai. Put in to bat, Pune Warriors made 187 for five in the allotted overs. Skipper Yuvraj Singh remained unbeaten on 66. The Daredevils thereafter overhauled the formidable victory target of 188 runs, by making 190 for seven in 19.2 overs.
