Chennai Super Kings defeated the Sunrisers Hyderabad by 5 wickets in an IPL match at Sharjah lastnight. Opting to bat first, Hyderabad had posted 145 for 5, courtesy opener Aaron Finch's brilliant 44. In reply, Chennai got off to a superb start, with Dwayne Smith and Brendon McCullum scoring 85 runs for the opening wicket. Smith made 66, while McCullum scored 40. With the wickets of Suresh Raina, Smith and Faf Du Plessis in quick succession, Chennai somehow lost its way, as it slid from 114 for 2 to 138 for 5. Then in the end, needing 6 runs from the last over, Skipper MS Dhoni got Chennai home by hitting a four on the third ball. It was CSK's fourth successive win in this IPL season. Smith was named man of the match. Today, Kings Eleven Punjab will clash with the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Dubai at 8 PM India time.
