IPL Cricket: CSK beat MI by 7 wkts in the eliminator

In IPL Cricket, Chennai Super Kings defeated defending champions Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets in the Eliminator last night, to advance to the second qualifier, in which it will take on Kings Eleven Punjab tomorrow. The winner of the second qualifier will make it to the finals and meet the Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday.Sent in to bat at the Brabourne Stadium last night, hosts Mumbai posted 173 for 8, courtesy opener Lendl Simmons' brilliant 67. In reply, Chennai overhauled the target with 7 wickets in hand and 6 balls to spare. All batsmen contributed, with Suresh Raina top scoring with 54 not out and David Hussey making an unbeaten 40. Openers, Dwayne Smith and Faf Du Plessis had, earlier, laid the foundation of an easy chase. Suresh Raina was adjudged man of the match.Earlier, in another match, Kolkata defeated Punjab by 28 runs at Kolkata, to book a finals berth.
