The BJP has demanded prosecution of former Minister of State for External Affairs Mr Shashi Tharoor for his alleged involvement in the IPL franchise controversy.<br/><br/>Briefing reporters after the Parliamentary Party meeting, party spokesperson Mr S S Ahluwalia said even if Mr Shashi Tharoor makes a statement to clarify his position in the controversy in Parliament, the party will press for the statement from Prime Minister on the issue.<br/><br/>He said the party will bring cut motions on the Finance Bill as announced earlier.<br/><br/>A high level meeting to discuss the IPL controversy was held in the Parliament complex on Tuesday. It was attended by Finance Minister and Leader of House in Lok Sabha Mr Pranab Mukherjee, Home Minister Mr P Chidambaram and Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Minister Mr Sharad Pawar. Former BCCI Chief Mr Pawar on Tuesday morning denied any involvement in the IPL controversy.<br/><br/>According to sources, BCCI President Shashank Manohar in the National Capital to hold discussion with Mr Pawar on the issue. Manohar's visit comes amid reports that the top brass of BCCI are planning to remove Lalit Modi from the post of IPL Commissioner and Chairman.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Cricket Board has also rescheduled its Working Committee meeting from April 24 to May 2 as it wants the IPL Governing Council meeting to first discuss the issue. The council meeting is expected to meet on April 26, a day after the IPL final.
