IPL cancels its existing tender for two new franchises

The Indian Premier League (IPL) has cancelled its existing tender for the two new franchises, which were to be unveiled today. It has amended the bidding process by dropping two clauses. IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi announced this at a press conference held after the IPL governing council meeting in Mumbai today. The new tender will be out on Tuesday. The deadline for submitting the new tender is 10 am on 21 March and the bids will be opened on the same day.
