IPL betting case: TN police launch hunt for Chennai hotelier; may issue lookout to stop him fleeing India

The Tamilnadu Police have launched a search for hotelier Vikram Agarwal an accused in the spot fixing case. His bail plea was dismissed by the Madras High Court yesterday. Police is to seek a non-bailable warrant against him and may issue a look-out notice for to stop him from fleeing the Country. Vikram Agarwal is also wanted by the Mumbai police for allegedly being a conduit between Mr. Gurunath Meiyappan and Vindoo Dara Singh who are in police custody for allegedly betting the IPL matches. Gurunath, the son in law of N.Srinivasan, the President of the BCCI is to be produced in the Mumbai Court today. The whereabouts of Mr.Vikram alias Victor remain unknown even as the scandal is swirling around the cricket world. Kitty a close associate of Vikram Agarwal has confessed to the alleged links with Vikram and also seems to have spelt out vital information with regard to the scandal. He was arrested by the Chennai Police even as he landed from South Africa a few days ago.
