IPL auction: RCB buys Yuvraj for Rs 14 cr; Delhi gets Dinesh for Rs 12.5cr

The auction for the Indian Premier League 2014 is underway in Bangalore. Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has been bought for a whopping 14 crore rupees by Royal Challengers Bangalore. Delhi Daredevils have bought Dinesh Karthik for 12.5 crores and England's Kevin Pietersen for 9 crores. Quinton De Cock, Murali Vijay, Mohammed Shami and George Bailey also went to Delhi. Other prominent players who have been auctioned include:Virender Sehwag and Cheteshwar Pujara — Kings Eleven Punjab — 3.2 crores and 1.9 crores.Mitchell Johnson — Punjab — 6.5 crores.Mitchell Starc — Bangalore — 5 crores.Steven Smith — Rajasthan Royals — 4 crores.Zaheer Khan — Mumbai Indians — 2.6 crores.Michael Hussey — Mumbai — 5 crores.David Warner and Aaron Finch — Sunrisers Hyderabad — 5.5 crores and 4 crores.Bhuneshwar Kumar and Ishant Sharma — Hyderabad — 4.25 crores and 2.6 crores.South Africans Jacques Kallis and Morne Morkel — Kolkata Knight Riders — 5.5 crores and 2.8 crores.New Zealand's Brendon McCullum and West Indian Dwayne Smith — Chennai Super Kings — 3.25 crores and 4.5 crores.Mahela Jayawardene, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Angelo Matthews, Ross Taylor, and David Hussey remained unsold.More than 500 players are part of the auction, which will continue tomorrow as well.
