IPL auction for third edition over; Pak players become persona non-granta

Auction of players for third edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) was held in Mumbai today. As many as 67 players from all Test playing nations were up for auction. But there were no takers for Pakistan players. West Indies all rounder Kieron Pollard was sold to Mumbai Indians for around 750,000 US Dollars in a secret bidding after the bidding for Pollard reached a tie breaker stage between 4 teams. South African fast bowler Wayne Parnell was won by Delhi Daredevils team for 610,000 US Dollars. New Zealand player Shane bond was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders for 750,000 US Dollars in a secret bidding after a tie breaker for Bond form two teams.
