IPL-7: RR beat KKR by scoring more boundaries

In IPL Cricket, Rajasthan Royals have scored a thrilling win over Kolkata Knight Riders in Abu Dhabi. Both the teams were tied up at 152 runs in 20 overs. The match went into one additional Super over in which the two teams were tied again scoring 11 runs each. But Rajasthan Royals were declared winners on account of having scored more number of boundaries. Rajasthan Royals hit 18 fours and a six in comparison to 13 fours and two sixes by Kolkata Knight Riders. James Faulkner was declared Man of the Match for his four wicket haul in the match.Batting first, Rajasthan Royals made 152 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Ajinkya Rahane was the top scorer with 72 runs. Skipper Shane Watson made 33 runs. In reply, Kolkata Knight Riders ended up at 52 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. At one time, KKR seemed on course to victory with Yadav and Shaqib ul Hasan going great guns. But James Faulkner came out with a magic spell in the penultimate over to dismiss Yadav, Uthappa and Vinay Kumar to level the score. Skipper Gautam Gambhir clicked for the first time in the tournament this year and made 45 runs off 44 balls. SA Yadav played the long handle in final overs and smashed 31 runs off 19 deliveries. In the final match of UAE leg of IPL, defending champions Mumbai Indians will clash with Sunrisers Hyderabad in Dubai tomorrow.The match begins at 8 pm India time.
