The opening leg of the Indian Premier League, IPL Season-7 gets underway in UAE on April 16.

The BCCI IPL 7 organizing Committee has convened a pre-tournament press conference in Dubai today. 20 matches will be held in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah during April 16.

The opening match will be at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi between the defending champions Mumbai Indians and the former champion Kolkata night Riders on April 16.

Ahead of the tournament, a BCCI team visited the stadiums last week and expressed satisfaction at the arrangements.

The BCCI IPL interim President Sunil Gavaskar took stock of the preparations with the IPL management staff and the eight franchises and hoped for a successful tournament this season.
